MISSING DATA
The PEER-NGA database contains missing metadata for many of the recordings. The
missing data of importance to the ground motion model developed in this study are the
following: faulting mechanisms and fault dips for smaller earthquakes; rupture distances for
those earthquakes without published rupture models, and for many sites, the average shear
wave velocity, VS30, and sediment depth defined as the depth to shear wave velocities of 1
and 2.5 km/s, Z1.0 and Z2.5, respectively. The missing values for these parameters were
imputed (estimated) as follows.
