Mono-point configuration
This is a dry-tooling configuration that allows
great ankle mobility (stepping with instep
or outer foot), precision when edging and
jamming in cracks.
In ice climbing, this configuration can also
be very useful for technical climbing and/
or on solid ice, where precision is key. It
allows better point penetration and limits
ice fractures better than dual points. It also
allows stepping into holes created by the ice
axes.
Adjusting the front bindings
By adjusting the front binding system, you
can move your shoe forward or back on the
crampon and in this way adjust the length of
penetration of the front points.
LYNX
From snow couloirs to dry tooling, the LYNX
is a versatile crampon. Modular front points
allow for many options: dual or monopoint,
long or short, and/or asymmetrical.
The front bindings are interchangeable and
adjustable: stainless steel toe bail wires for
shoes with toe welts, or flexible bindings for
boots without toe welts. Toe bindings can be
adjusted to accommodate shoe width and
provide sufficient point length.
Tips for removing the toe bail wire:
Available with stainless
steel toe bail wires for
shoes with toe welts,
or flexible bindings for
boots without toe welts.
