The FSMT Foundation Executive <strong>Board</strong> meeting was called to order at 5:00 PM by FSMT<br />

Approval of <strong>Minutes</strong> Karen Schaefer<br />
The minutes of the <strong>FSMTF</strong> <strong>Board</strong> <strong>Meeting</strong> on June 9, 2012, were approved as written.<br />
President’s Report Marc Hebda<br />
Report submitted and filed electronically.<br />
Solicitation of Contributions (SOC) license from the <strong>Florida</strong> Department of Agriculture<br />
and Consumer Services has been filed for $10.00.<br />
Form 990 has been filed with IRS.<br />
Sue Colvert was thanked for her $500 contribution to her endowment.
Marc Hebda distributed pink “Foundation Donor” badge banners to each board<br />
member who contributed at least $1.00 to the Foundation.<br />
He emphasized that all contributions remain in our own foundation in <strong>Florida</strong>.<br />
Treasurer’s Report Leonard Mastrogiacomo<br />
Report distributed at meeting and filed electronically.<br />
All Foundation financial records have been converted to Quicken.<br />
Checks for <strong>Florida</strong> MTNA winners: $3,900.00 (updated amount)<br />
The Greenspan Community Service award money is almost gone. The family was<br />
advised of this a few years ago, but they would like to wait until the money is<br />
depleted before adding more funds. Marc Hebda has agreed to contact them<br />
again and ask if they would like to continue their support. However, It is unlikely that<br />
they will do so. The award is funded for one more year. Discussion will continue at<br />
the June board meeting.<br />

New Business<br />
COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARDS<br />
Martha Stubbs suggested that a different time frame be considered for<br />
acknowledging winners of Community Service Awards so that winners can be<br />
recognized at the end of the school year rather than at the beginning of the<br />
following year at the annual conference. The board concurred. Maria Santilli<br />
suggested that an <strong>FSMTF</strong> or FSMTA representative attend the senior award assembly<br />
at the student’s high school and present the award at that event so that the student<br />
is recognized among his/her peers.<br />
Martha will make the change so that the new recognition date will be effective<br />
2013.<br />
