Comments: Because Miocene specimens of Savignyella lafontii have been found in the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean,<br />

we tentatively classify it as native, though McCann et al. (2007) classifies it as cryptogenic in the Gulf of Mexico. We<br />

classify it as nonindigenous in Hawaii, Samoa and Australia, cryptogenic in Brazil and unclassified elsewhere.<br />
