Comments: Polydora limicola was described from the western Bering Sea, and is presumably native to this cold
temperate region. However, it is a fairly recent invader into Peter the Great Bay and has been found on the hulls of
ships in the Barents Sea. It was first found in California in the 1950s and invaded the Black Sea in the 1960s.
