Comments: Dawson et al. (2005) seperated Aurelia species based on their genetics. Aurelia sp. 1 had a wide, disjunct<br />

distribution with low genetic variation, indicative of anthropogenic transport. While the native region is unknown,<br />

CANOD (2009) classifies it as introduced in California. We classify it as NIS in the NEP and cryptogenic elsewhere.<br />
