Comments: Oreochromis niloticus is of Western African origin and primarily inhabits freshwater lakes and streams,<br />

though it is euryhaline. It has been widely introduced into coastal basins for aquaculture, including China, Japan, and<br />

Tropical Eastern Pacific. However, it is not clear whether estuarine populations have become established.<br />
