Comments: Based on the genetic analysis by Barros et al. (2009), we classify the northwestern Pacific as the native<br />

region for Styela plicata. We note, however, that Chavanich et al. (2010) list it as introduced into the East China Sea<br />

and South China Ecoregions and <strong>US</strong>GS-NAS lists it as native in the Gulf of Mexico.<br />
