Comments: Telmatogeton japonicus is native to Japan and first reported from Hawaii in 1946. Flies are associated with<br />

algae, including Ulva sp. and Enteromorpha sp. According to ICES (2005), hull fouling (above the water line) is a<br />

likely vector.<br />
