Comments: The fly, Ceropsilopa coquilletti, was described from California and considered to be a Nearctic species. It<br />

was first reported from Hawaii in 1946 where it occurs in a variety of freshwater, estuarine, and marine habitats,<br />

including saline streams with salinities up to 43 psu, mangroves, wetlands, and mud banks (Englund et al., 2000a).<br />
