Comments: Teredicola typica is a parasitic copepod living in the infrabranchial cavity of several species of shipworms<br />

(Teredo, Bankia, and Lyrodus). Carlton and Eldredge (2009) suggest it may be native to the Southern Hemisphere.<br />

Thus, we tentatively classify populations in Australia and New Zealand as native and those in Japan as introduced.<br />
