nestra is narrow <strong>from</strong> front to back, elongated vertically,<br />

narrower ventrally than dorsally, and has its long<br />

axis steeply inclined to <strong>the</strong> horizontal axis <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> skull.<br />

The largest maxillary teeth lie about one-third <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

way back in <strong>the</strong> length <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> maxilla and are not<br />

1narkedly developed as canines. No "step" in <strong>the</strong> anterior<br />

part <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> alveolar border <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> maxilla.<br />

Known postcranial skeleton <strong>of</strong> same general proportions<br />

as that <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> varanopsid Varanops bre11irostris, except<br />

that <strong>the</strong> limbs <strong>of</strong> 0. w{lmarthi are proportionately somewhat<br />

longer and <strong>the</strong> postcranial skeleton <strong>of</strong> 0. wilmarthi<br />

is closer in some respects to <strong>the</strong> sphenacodontid pattern<br />

than it is to <strong>the</strong> varanopsid pattern, as in <strong>the</strong> more posterior<br />

position <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> supraglenoid foramen and <strong>the</strong>
