<strong>The</strong> Dove<br />
BADMINTON CLUB<br />
We have had ano<strong>the</strong>r successful year at <strong>the</strong> badminton club.<br />
Fitness levels have increased for <strong>the</strong> small band <strong>of</strong> committed members who attend each week. <strong>The</strong> craic<br />
is always good and we don’t take it too seriously. With <strong>the</strong> season coming to an end we decided to hold our<br />
delayed Christmas dinner at <strong>the</strong> end <strong>of</strong> March in <strong>The</strong> Bureau, Whiteabbey. A good night was had by all!! In April<br />
we supported Mallusk Play School at <strong>the</strong>ir Annual Table Quiz to<br />
help <strong>the</strong>m to raise much needed funds for a replacement building<br />
and finished a very commendable third without <strong>the</strong> help <strong>of</strong> mobiles<br />
and despite <strong>the</strong> fact that we had eleven and <strong>the</strong> Rector in our team.<br />
As Kitchener said ‘Your Country Needs You’ ....forget that.....’Your<br />
Badminton Club needs You’<br />
Next season we would be glad to see more new members any<br />
Thursday night from 7.30 to 9 ish.<br />

Life is not always fair but God is always faithful.<br />
Contentment comes when God’s will is more<br />
important than our wants.<br />

Youth Club<br />
It has come to <strong>the</strong> end <strong>of</strong> ano<strong>the</strong>r<br />
youth club year. This year we<br />
have seen some great changes in<br />
<strong>the</strong> growth <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> club. Our<br />
numbers are up to 25-30 children<br />
each week and it’s great to see<br />
such interest in <strong>the</strong> youth club.<br />
Our funds are up slightly and next<br />
year we hope to do more. <strong>The</strong> rest<br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> leaders and myself hope to<br />
organise more trips out with <strong>the</strong><br />
children, to <strong>the</strong> cinema, ice<br />
skating, bowling and mini golf.<br />
We have always had a problem<br />
trying to find leaders. Lisa-Marie,<br />
Kathryn, Gavin and myself are<br />
<strong>the</strong>re every week. June, who was<br />
a full time leader has stepped<br />
down but <strong>of</strong>fered to help out once<br />
a month for which I am very<br />
grateful, but we still need more<br />
part-time leaders. Just once a<br />
month would be such a help and<br />
would take <strong>the</strong> pressure <strong>of</strong>f our<br />
full time leaders. A very big thank<br />
you is due to all who help out with<br />
<strong>the</strong> youth club.<br />
We all look forward to seeing you<br />
back after <strong>the</strong> summer holidays in<br />
September. We will start again on<br />
Saturday 8th September 2012<br />
