Archdiocese of New York.

On Divine Mercy Sunday (the Sunday after
Easter) a plenary indulgence is
granted under the usual conditions
(sacramental confession within 20
days before or after Divine Mercy
Sunday, Eucharistic communion,
prayer for the intentions of the Pope,
detachment from affection for sin) to the faithful
who, in the presence of the Blessed
Sacrament, recite the Our Father,
the Creed, and a prayer to the merciful Lord
Jesus (e.g. “Merciful Jesus, I trust in you.”).
For the good of each of our parishioners and
for the building up of our parish family, these
prayers will be prayed after all the Masses at
St. Rita’s on Divine Mercy Sunday and
confessions will be available after the Sunday
Masses.
The Parish Office will be closed
Easter Monday, April 1st.
New Student Registration for 2013-2014
will take place on Wednesdays, April 3rd,
10th, 17th & 24th from 6:30pm until 7:30pm in
the school, 30 Wellbrook Avenue.
A copy of the Baptismal Certificate is
required along with proof of any other
sacraments received. Any questions please
call Mrs. Mary Gillespie at the CCD Office at
718-982-6948.
Private school students, who are
parishioners at St. Rita’s and wish to receive
Communion or Confirmation in 2014, are asked
to contact Mrs. Gillespie as soon as possible.
Sister Jude is collecting the flip tops
from soda cans for the benefit of the
Ronald McDonald House. This
organization helps house families of
cancer patients while they are receiving treatments.
Your donations can be brought to the parish office
during business hours. Thank you for your kindness.
