The Group’s pension plans are primarily defi ned contribution<br />

plans that do not commit <strong>DONG</strong> <strong>Energy</strong> beyond the amounts<br />

contributed. The defi ned benefi t plans relate to obligations to<br />

pay a defi ned benefi t to a few power station employees that<br />

are no longer with the company and to public servants taken<br />

million). The average number of employees in <strong>DONG</strong> <strong>Energy</strong> in<br />

<strong>2011</strong> was 5,966 (2010: 5,800 employees).
