Management of the Hungarian Energy Office - Magyar Energia Hivatal

During its existence the HEO has evolved fair professional cooperation with the consumer
organizations and the representatives of the energy industry. Its relations with other
bodies of public administration have been effi cient. It keeps continuous cooperation with
the energy regulatory authorities of the EU member countries and with their European
associations – like CEER (Council of European Energy Regulators), and ERGEG (European
Regulators Group for Electricity and Gas). The HEO takes part in the work of ERRA
(European Regulators’ Regional Association), the professional association of energy
regulators from several countries of Central and Eastern Europe, Asia and the Middle
East.
It is the fi fteenth time that the dear Reader may hold this publication assessing the activities
of the HEO. The detailed technical and economic data of the supervised sector might be
found in electronic form on our homepage www.eh.gov.hu.
The HEO was directed by Mr. J. Ferenc Horváth until September 2009, then by Mr. dr.
Zoltán Matos until the end of June 2010. We would like to thank them for their committed
professional work.
