We strongly recommend that all exchange students attend the Orientation Day which is organized early September and January each year.<br />
On this day, international students will get all the academic and practical information they need for their studies at <strong>SKEMA</strong> <strong>Business</strong> <strong>School</strong> :<br />
confirmation of course choices, study schedule, student card, computer account, visit of the campus, Residence Permit information,<br />
presentation of student associations.<br />
Non-European students coming to <strong>SKEMA</strong> <strong>Business</strong> <strong>School</strong> for more than 3 months need a long-stay student visa and must apply for a<br />
Residence Permit.The International Office provides a service to assist international students in the preparation of their application for the<br />
Residence Permit. This service is available on-campus once a week from September to February:<br />

HEALTH INSURANCE FOR THE FRENCH CAMPUSES<br />
Exchange students are required to arrange their own insurance against illnesses and accidents covering the period of their stay in France. <strong>All</strong><br />
the international students attending <strong>SKEMA</strong> on exchange must purchase health insurance before applying for their student visa. If students are<br />
non EU citizens and stay for more than three months at <strong>SKEMA</strong>, they will be required to enroll in the “French Sécurité Sociale”. <strong>All</strong> students<br />
must have repatriation coverage during their stay at the host country.<br />

FRANCE - SOPHIA-ANTIPOLIS GENERAL INFORMATION/ COST OF LIVING<br />
The Sophia Antipolis campus is located on the French Riviera in Sophia Antipolis, a<br />
technology park which is home to several famous companies, research institutes and<br />
schools of higher education. Most of <strong>SKEMA</strong>’s students live in either Antibes or Juan<br />
les Pins, coastal towns close to Sophia Antipolis which are easily accessible by bus.<br />

Housing usually costs an average of 500€ /600€ per month.<br />
Lunches are provided at the school cafeteria for 3.05€ from Monday to Friday.<br />
Most of the students fly into the NICE Côte d'Azur Airport, which is 45 minutes from<br />
the Sophia Antipolis campus. There is a bus that costs 1€ run by the General Council<br />
of the PACA region. <strong>All</strong> main locations around the campus are accesible by bus.<br />
There are two kinds of suscribtions available to students: a monthly subscription<br />
(<strong>12</strong>€) or an annual subscription (100€)<br />

FRANCE - LILLE GENERAL INFORMATION/ COST OF LIVING<br />
The Lille campus is located in the town centre between the two railway stations (Lille<br />
Flandres & Lille Europe), near to the old town and the administrative centre. Lille is<br />
just 1 hour from Paris, 38 minutes from Brussels and 1hr20 from London. Lille is the<br />
main student town after Paris. The region is well known for its attractive economic<br />
activities: several companies have set up their headquarters here in order to be at<br />
the logistical centre of Europe.<br />
Lille campus has no accommodation on-campus but we have agreements with a<br />
certain number of residences. The students can also find a roommate in a shared<br />
appartment.Housing usually costs an average of 500€ /600€ per month.<br />

Meals can be taken at the University Restaurant nearby the school. On the campus,<br />
there is a cafeteria which offers quick snacks at reasonable prices. The school is<br />
located above the shopping centre where you can find Carrefour.<br />
Most of the students arrive either at the Lille Flandres station or the Lille Europe<br />
station. Upon request to S'Konnection, there can be a pick-up service at the<br />
beginning of each semester. Transpole is the company that runs all the buses,<br />
tramways and metro. They offer low prices for students under 28.<br />
There are computer labs and wireless networks scattered around the Lille campus,<br />
such as the library and the common facilities.<br />
FRANCE - PARIS GENERAL INFORMATION/ COST OF LIVING<br />
The campus is situated in the modern Pôle Léonard de Vinci, in La Défense. An area<br />
with 150,000 employees, 1,500 companies (15 out of the first 50 worldwide) and<br />
20,000 inhabitants. Near Paris centre: 10 minutes from the Champs-Elysées and 20<br />
minutes from the Eiffel Tower.<br />

CHINA - SUZHOU GENERAL INFORMATION/ COST OF LIVING<br />
Suzhou has been called the Venice of the East because of its many canals, beautiful<br />
natural environment and traditional gardens. Situated 1 hour from Shanghai (2nd<br />
industrial city of China). Suzhou is one of the famous high-technology centres with<br />
<strong>11</strong>8 of the top 500 companies in the world.<br />
<strong>SKEMA</strong> has negociated a certain number of apartments close to the campus. The<br />
housing usually costs an average of 150€ /300€ per month.<br />
On the campus, students can eat at several small restaurants and fast food<br />
restaurants which are all reasonably priced. Students can also prepare meals in their<br />
flats which are conveniently located to school.<br />
To get from the airport to campus, students can take a taxi (2.5 hrs & cost 600-800<br />
RmB), a train (1.5 hrs & cost <strong>12</strong>0 RmB) or a bus (2.5 hrs & cost 130 RmB)<br />
Find on campus all essential services: restaurants, laudromat, travel agent, phone<br />
card kiosk, buses, taxis, ect. Nearby, there is a large library and sport facilities.<br />
USA - RALEIGH GENERAL INFORMATION/ COST OF LIVING<br />
The <strong>SKEMA</strong> US campus is situated in Raleigh, North Carolina, which is located in<br />
the Southeast, near the coast and about 1h by plane to NYC. The <strong>SKEMA</strong> building is<br />
located on the Centennial campus of our partner North Carolina State University and<br />
is surrounded by many international companies.<br />
<strong>SKEMA</strong> has negociated a certain number of apartments close to the campus which<br />
you can rent via an agency (Temporary Living Company) for a minimum of 4 months.<br />
<strong>All</strong> apartments are close to the <strong>SKEMA</strong> campus (access by bus) and fully equipped.<br />
The housing usually costs an average of 450€ /1300€ per month.<br />
Students can eat at University Dining Halls (cafeterias) or at several small<br />
restaurants/cafés on campus which serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.<br />
The nearest airport from <strong>SKEMA</strong> US campus is Raleigh/Durham International Airport<br />
(RDU) which is about 24 km away. With your student ID you will have access to the<br />
free "Wolfline" bus transport which allows you to go anywhere on Campus and in<br />
Raleigh.<br />
Raleigh campus has great sport infrastructures for Football, Soccer, Cross<br />
Country,…The campus also has a library located on Central Campus<br />
