<strong>Arriving</strong> at Zurich Airport<br />

Information for passengers whose final destination is Zurich<br />

Welcome to Zurich! Please follow the “Ausgang/Exit” signs,<br />

which will lead you via the shortest route to passport control,<br />

the baggage claim hall <strong>and</strong> customs control. If your baggage has<br />

failed to arrive, please proceed to the Lost & Found office, which<br />

is located in the baggage claim hall.<br />

For your convenience<br />

Zurich Airport offers everything to make your arrival as pleasant<br />

<strong>and</strong> convenient as possible. In the shops at the Airport<br />

Center, you will find groceries <strong>and</strong> an extensive selection of<br />

every day provisions. You will also find a wide variety of bars <strong>and</strong><br />

restaurants where you can stop in for a drink, a snack or a full<br />

meal. Excellent transport connections from the airport to Zurich<br />

city, the surrounding region <strong>and</strong> destinations throughout the<br />

country ensure that you will be back home in next to no time!<br />

Are you being met at the airport?<br />

There are central meeting points in Arrival 1 <strong>and</strong> Arrival 2, with<br />

monitors indicating the arrival zone for each flight. Please use<br />

the multi-storey car parks.<br />

in advance by phone or via the Internet:<br />

Arrival duty-free sales<br />

Why not buy some tax <strong>and</strong> duty-free products when you<br />

l<strong>and</strong> at Zurich Airport? The arrival duty-free shops are located<br />

on the way to <strong>and</strong> in the baggage claim halls. Please<br />

observe the applicable allowances.<br />

Import <strong>and</strong> customs regulations<br />

Valid travel documents<br />

When bringing goods <strong>and</strong> animals into the country, please be<br />

sure you have all the necessary travel documents <strong>and</strong> receipts.<br />

Beware of forgeries!<br />

It is against the law to bring forgeries of br<strong>and</strong>ed or designer<br />

goods into the country, including those being imported for personal<br />

use. Any forgeries that are detected will be confiscated<br />

<strong>and</strong> destroyed.<br />

Goods worth more than CHF 300 must be declared<br />

Goods other than those listed below may be brought in tax free<br />

up to a total value of CHF 300 per person per day. If the total<br />

value exceeds CHF 300, all the goods will be subject to import<br />

duty.<br />

Foodstuffs of animal origin<br />

Passengers are not permitted to import any foodstuffs of animal<br />

origin, such as meat <strong>and</strong> dairy products, from non-EU or non-<br />

EFTA countries.<br />

Allowances per person<br />

The following allowances apply per person<br />

per day for goods brought into the country<br />

for personal use or as gifts:<br />

Alcoholic beverages<br />

Up to 15% volume 2 litres <strong>and</strong><br />

over 15% volume 1 litre<br />

Tobacco<br />

Cigarettes 200 or<br />

Cigars 50 or<br />

Loose tobacco 250 grams<br />

Cigarette papers 200<br />
