The tax & duty-free stores at Zurich Airport stock a huge range<br />

of Swiss <strong>and</strong> international br<strong>and</strong>-name perfumes, cosmetics,<br />

spirits <strong>and</strong> tobacco products. All these items are exempt<br />

from the respective tax <strong>and</strong> duty, <strong>and</strong> are therefore available at<br />

Regulations for transfer passengers<br />

Tax-free <strong>and</strong> duty-free items that you have purchased on board<br />

an EU or Swiss airline (e.g. Swiss International Air Lines) or during<br />

a stopover at Zurich Airport may be taken on board in a<br />

sealed bag provided you have a receipt issued on the same day<br />

as your flight. This also applies to products containing liquids<br />

that have been purchased at an airport within the EU or in Switzerl<strong>and</strong>,<br />

Icel<strong>and</strong>, Norway, Singapore, Malaysia, Canada or the<br />

USA. These items may be carried through the security check as<br />

long as they are in a sealed bag <strong>and</strong> you have a receipt issued<br />

within the last 36 hours. Information on the applicable regulations<br />

Purchases made in the tax <strong>and</strong> duty-free area<br />

If you buy any goods containing liquids, these will be sealed in a<br />

bag after purchase.<br />

Arrival duty-free<br />

Why not buy tax <strong>and</strong> duty-free products when you l<strong>and</strong> at<br />

Zurich Airport. Shops can be found prior to <strong>and</strong> in the baggage<br />

claim halls. A wide selection of perfumes, cosmetics,<br />

spirits <strong>and</strong> tobacco products are available at the usual low<br />

duty-free prices. Please note the applicable allowances when<br />

importing duty-free goods <strong>and</strong> other items (this includes all<br />

goods brought into the country). Shoppers must present the<br />

boarding card stub for their flight at the checkout.<br />
