Getting to the airport<br />

Quick <strong>and</strong> easy access<br />

Zurich Airport is located right at the centre of Europe<br />

<strong>and</strong> in the heart of Switzerl<strong>and</strong>. Thanks to its excellent<br />

transport links, it can be reached quickly <strong>and</strong> conveniently.<br />

Zurich city centre is only ten minutes away, <strong>and</strong> the neighbouring<br />

regions of Germany <strong>and</strong> Austria can be reached very<br />

quickly.<br />

Mainline <strong>and</strong> urban trains<br />

Trains run to <strong>and</strong> from Zurich’s main railway station every ten<br />

minutes at peak times (travel time: ten minutes). There are<br />

direct EuroCity, InterCity <strong>and</strong> regional rail connections to all<br />

major Swiss cities <strong>and</strong> neighbouring countries.<br />

Trams<br />

The Glattalbahn tram service (tram nos. 10 <strong>and</strong> 12) links Zurich<br />

Airport with Glattpark, Oerlikon, Wallisellen, Stettbach <strong>and</strong><br />

Zurich’s main railway station (Zürich Hauptbahnhof) via Irchel/<br />

Milchbuck.<br />

Regional buses<br />

15 bus services connect Zurich Airport with the most important<br />

municipalities in the vicinity, including those in the Glattal area<br />

(departures every 10, 15, 30 or 60 minutes).<br />

Parking facilities<br />

Zurich Airport has plenty of parking facilities.<br />

Directly at the airport<br />

Multi-storey car parks 1 (Check-in 1 <strong>and</strong> Arrival 1), 2 (Check-in 2<br />

<strong>and</strong> Arrival 2) <strong>and</strong> 3 (Check-in 3) are directly linked to the main<br />

airport building.<br />

Disabled parking<br />

For people with disabilities, there are specially designated parking<br />

spaces near the lifts on the entry level of multi-storey car<br />

parks 1, 2 <strong>and</strong> 3. Holders of disabled parking permits can use<br />

the short-stay parking spaces on the outer approach road for<br />

longer than the permitted time of 15 minutes.<br />

Long-stay parking<br />

Long-stay parking is available at reduced rates in multi-storey<br />

car parks 5 <strong>and</strong> 40, <strong>and</strong> in open-air car park 60.<br />

Parking fees<br />

Parking fees can be paid at staffed desks <strong>and</strong> ticket machines in<br />

Swiss francs or euros, or by credit card, Maestro card, V PAY or<br />

“Postcard” (Swiss Post card).<br />
