Constantine was the last of the Romanoffs to be buried at the
Fortress ofPeter and Paul.
Princess Vera, born 1906, and shown here with her family, is the
only surviving Romanoff. When she was a child she played with
the Imperial children at Tsarskoe Zeloe. She now lives in
America.

After 1916 Dimitri never spoke publicly of the murder. Before
that time he had been viewed as a possible husband for Grand
Duchess Tatiana. By his banishment to Persia he was saved from
the Revolution.
