PISCES<br />
The comprehensive checklist <strong>of</strong> fishes <strong>of</strong> Pakke Tiger Reserve<br />
(PTR) is represented by 54 species belonging to 32 genera,13<br />
families and 4 orders. This list has been compiled based on the<br />
detailed taxonomic studies <strong>of</strong> the collected specimens and also<br />
those available as per literature records. Out <strong>of</strong> 54 species, 46<br />
species have been exclusively reported in the present study and<br />
the rest 8 has been added from the list <strong>of</strong> 15 species reported by<br />
Sen (2006). The classification given by Menon,1999 is followed<br />
while nomenclature was after FishBase(http/ / www.fishbase.org).<br />
Status <strong>of</strong> some <strong>of</strong> the species has been given as per<br />
BCPP,C.A.M.P.(1999).
