Miscellaneous Sanctions<br />
Not Included Elsewhere: Public Safety and Education Assessment: In addition to<br />
any other fine, an <strong>of</strong>fender is subject to two public safety and<br />
education assessments and 1 monetary penalty. The first<br />
assessment is equal to 60 percent <strong>of</strong> any fine imposed. The<br />
second is equal to 50 percent <strong>of</strong> the first. The third is a fixed<br />
penalty <strong>of</strong> $10. (This penalty does not apply to speeding<br />

§46.63.110. Under this law, the court has established the following fines for speeding <strong>of</strong>fenses: I. For speed limits >40<br />

11 to 15 mph over the speed limit — $47; 16 to 20 mph over the speed limit — $62; 21 to 25 mph over the speed limit —<br />

to 5 mph over the speed limit — $32; 6 to 10 mph over the speed limit — $37; 11 to 15 mph over the speed limit — $52;<br />
16 to 20 mph over the speed limit — $72; 21 to 25 mph over the speed limit — $97; 26 to 30 mph over the speed limit —<br />
$122; 31 to 35 mph over the speed limit — $147; >35 mph over the speed limit — $177. III. The following fine schedule<br />
applies for other speeding and other related <strong>of</strong>fenses: speeding too fast for conditions — $37; impeding traffic — $37;<br />
speeding in <strong>State</strong> parks — $37; and, on a multilane highway, failure to drive in the right lane except when traveling at a<br />
speed greater than the traffic flow — $37. Washington Court Rule 6.2<br />
511 Licensing action is based upon frequent traffic law violations that indicate disrespect for these laws. §46.20.291(3). A<br />
person is considered a frequent violator <strong>of</strong> the traffic laws if he/she commits 4 traffic <strong>of</strong>fenses within 12 months or 5 such<br />
<strong>of</strong>fenses within 24 months. WAC 308-104-035<br />
