PR in Public Services
2. Course contents
Lecture
Public Relations as a communication process with environment. Nature of Public Relations. Stages of Public
Relations – basic techniques. Public Relations in critical situations. Management of information in public sphere.
Activity of state information service (government spokesman), local authorities and private institutions in the
context of image creation of an institution. Communication with media. Specificity of media. Internet as means
of communication in public institutions.

4. Learning outcomes
Student understands nature of Public Relations in image creation process. Student can apply communication
tools appropriate to a situation and communicate effectively with social environment.
