Course contents Lecture and classes The subject of communications. Basic categories and terminology. The model of act and communication process. Postulates of interhumane communication. Verbal and non-verbal communication. Intrapersonal/interpersonal/group/intergroup/organizational/mass/global communication. Political, intercultural communication. Informative and persuasive communication. Basic measures and codes of communication. The development of mass media and the meaning of particular media in communication. Mass communication and its main distinctive features. Mass media and mediatisation of social reality. Specificity of mass media development in Poland. New media and specificity of “many to many” communication. Informative society idea and problems in its realization in Poland. The development of teleinformatic network and the meaning of the access to multimedia. 3. Prerequisites None 4. Learning outcomes Graduate knows the specification of social communication as a basic human symbolic and interactional activity . He or she understands prioprieties, principles and conditions of various communication systems’ functioning.. 5. Course contents Lecture and classes The essence and social basis of public services contemporary systems, premises and forms of their changeability. Political determinants of public services sector. The way of organization, structures and models as well as characteristics of public services’ mechanisms in conditions of different political systems. Perspectives of public services systems’ transformations in conditions of contemporary political regimes. Public services in Poland. Public services in European Union system. 3. Prerequisites None 4. Learning outcomes Graduate understands mechanisms of public services’ activity in conditions of contemporary political systems, with special compliance of their fundamental models.
