Lecture and Classes<br />

Pedagogy as a science.: concept and classification of science, subject and task of pedagogy, basic and derivative<br />

terminology in pedagogy, medical pedagogy, social pedagogy, science collaborating with pedagogy. Education as a<br />

social phenomenon; educational environment, the concept of education and its a<strong>im</strong>s, the ways of educational<br />

understanding, educational thinking, education in the light of personality, moral and profamily education biological<br />

based, working on oneself in the process of education and the necessity of working on oneself. Major problems of<br />

education; concept of education, the relation between the education and the protection, a<strong>im</strong>s and tasks of education,<br />

aspects of education. Value as a source of education; defining of the values and their existence, the role of values in<br />

education. Preferred values in education. Education in the light of pedagogical and psychological concepts; education<br />

as a concept of behaviour, education as a humanistic concept, method of persuasion, awarding method, punishment<br />

method. Shape of education environment; Children, youth, adults health education. Research methods, techniques and<br />

<strong>im</strong>plement; compile and apply chosen methods and techniques (observation, exper<strong>im</strong>ent, matter of individual chance,<br />

diagnostic survey, action research, survey, document research). Organization and methods of educational care work in<br />

chosen health care centre (hospital, children’s home, children’s social services, day care centre, health care centre,<br />

sanatorium). Nonauthoritarian pedagogy concept by Thomas Gordon.<br />

4. Learning outcomes<br />

The students are familiar with the basic concepts of pedagogy – education. They familiarise themselves with the wider<br />

concept of chosen theories and systems of education; student acquaints a<strong>im</strong>s, features, methods, tasks and forms of<br />

education, aspect of education as per humanistic, behaviour and psychosocial concepts. Students are familiar with the<br />

methods of education – educational problem solving at chosen representatives of pedagogy and build relationship in the<br />

classroom – in a family<br />
