Lecture and Classes
Pedagogy as a science.: concept and classification of science, subject and task of pedagogy, basic and derivative
terminology in pedagogy, medical pedagogy, social pedagogy, science collaborating with pedagogy. Education as a
social phenomenon; educational environment, the concept of education and its aims, the ways of educational
understanding, educational thinking, education in the light of personality, moral and profamily education biological
based, working on oneself in the process of education and the necessity of working on oneself. Major problems of
education; concept of education, the relation between the education and the protection, aims and tasks of education,
aspects of education. Value as a source of education; defining of the values and their existence, the role of values in
education. Preferred values in education. Education in the light of pedagogical and psychological concepts; education
as a concept of behaviour, education as a humanistic concept, method of persuasion, awarding method, punishment
method. Shape of education environment; Children, youth, adults health education. Research methods, techniques and
implement; compile and apply chosen methods and techniques (observation, experiment, matter of individual chance,
diagnostic survey, action research, survey, document research). Organization and methods of educational care work in
chosen health care centre (hospital, children’s home, children’s social services, day care centre, health care centre,
sanatorium). Nonauthoritarian pedagogy concept by Thomas Gordon.

4. Learning outcomes
The students are familiar with the basic concepts of pedagogy – education. They familiarise themselves with the wider
concept of chosen theories and systems of education; student acquaints aims, features, methods, tasks and forms of
education, aspect of education as per humanistic, behaviour and psychosocial concepts. Students are familiar with the
methods of education – educational problem solving at chosen representatives of pedagogy and build relationship in the
classroom – in a family
