2.Course contents<br />

Lecture and Classes<br />

Early Education as a science; early education’s subject, theoretical basic of Early Education, methodological<br />

grasp. Early Education discourse; functionality and behaviour discourse, humanistic and adaptability discourse,<br />

constructive and developmental discourse, constructive and social discourse. A<strong>im</strong>s of Education; basic a<strong>im</strong>s of<br />

education, operational a<strong>im</strong>s. Contents of Education and Behaviour; versatile education’s theory vs. lessons types,<br />

teaching and education methods, classification, Thomas Gordon’s education concept. Education’s roles, forms<br />

of organizations and teaching measures in Early Education. Alternative education. Celestyn Freinet, Maria<br />

Montessori, Maria Cackowska, Ryszard Łukaszewicz. Supporting education. Physical development, cognitive<br />

development, emotional and moral development. Teacher in Early Education; modern model of a teacher,<br />

teacher’s specificity at work in Early Education, teacher – student/parent/community relationship.<br />

4.Learning outcomes<br />

The students are familiar with the essence of the Early Education and the basic of the concept – the concept of<br />

Early Education. Students can formulate a<strong>im</strong>s, methods, rules as well as select forms and contents of education<br />

and methods of development. Students are familiar with different concepts of alternative education (Freinet,<br />

Montessori, Gordon, Neill), didactive and educational work, teacher – students working methods and use the<br />

educational recourses to didactive and educational work of a teacher.<br />
