The Witelon University of Applied Sciences in Legnica - Field: Pedagogy 1) knowledge of proper development conditions of children and youth and factors that have an influence on this development which will help to undertake preventive activities and health promoting; 2) knowledge of diagnosing methods of children and family's tutelary protective needs and working methods in tutorial , tutorial-therapeutic and tutorial-educative, institutions. Will possess: 1) skills essential in care, education and therapy of people affected with protracted disease and other health and development's disorders; 2) therapeutic skills required in the process of rehabilitation of ill people and affected with different kind of disfunctionalities; 3) skills of conducting the addiction prophylaxis, constructing and implementing of health care programme prophylaxis and health promoting as well as skills of conducting the intervention in the critical situations. Obtained skills of project developing, educational and prophylaxis programmes in the local environment will allow the graduates an efficient search of necessary means for their realization. Specialisation of Integrated Early Education with English The graduate of professional studies of Pedagogy (the speciality the pre-school Education and with English) receives the professional degree of Bachelor of Art (BA) in pedagogy and the authorization to teach English in the nursery and primary school (classes I – III). He/she proofs the knowledge of English language similar to the native language, equivalent to C1 of Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. He possesses not only the row of perfectively mastered communication skills - such as speaking, writing, or translation in English - but also the basic knowledge on the subject of cultures of United States and Great Britain that he can use in the didactic process. As the prospective educator, teacher and educator the graduate EPiW possesses also the broad pedagogical, sociological and psychological knowledge, indispensable to the understanding the social and cultural context of the lingual education and to build their own professional development. He should also master practical skills within the range enrichments and improvements of his/her own knowledge and the competence within the range of practical didactic activity and the creation of their own methodical workshop. Studies are a base to the conquest of the reliable occupational training, the development of the skills of the reflective look on the own professional part and deeper understanding of the educational reality. The graduate of this specialty can therefore find employment not only as the teacher of English and the educator, but also as the animator of the culture and the translator. The Witelon University of Applied Sciences in Legnica - Field: Pedagogy Admission requirements The minimum requirement for admission to the degree program is the secondary school graduation certificate or an equivalent foreign document confirmed by the Polish education authorities. During the admission procedure the results in Polish, foreign language and one of the selected subjects: biology, history or Civics (knowledge on society) from that certificate are taken into account. Final examination The diploma examination is an oral examination. During the examination the student should demonstrate a general understanding of field/specialization and the knowledge related to the dissertation. The rules determining the final result of the studies are described in The Rules of Study at The Witelon University of Applied Sciences in Legnica. The final result is the sum of: 0,6 of the arithmetical mean of all the grades achieved during the study, 0,2 of the grade for the diploma thesis and 0,2 of the grade for the final exam.
