Methods of artificial intelligence 1<br />

2. Course description<br />

Lecture<br />

Introduction: artificial intelligence, knowledge representation, expert systems,history, examples. Knowledge<br />

representation: rule representation of knowledge, semantic nets and decision trees. Knowledge acquisition.<br />

Machine learning. Rules generating. Correctness test for knowledge base. Searching methods and strategies.<br />

Concluding with probabilistic model. Bayes’ decision support systems. Algorithms for complete probabilistic<br />

information, Recognition methods. Fuzzy rules. Neural networks: neuron, perceptron, linear networks, back<br />

propagation algorithm. Genetic algorithms: classical algorithm and its modifications, practical examples.<br />

Laboratory<br />

Computer realization for methods and algorithms of artificial intelligence. In particular: expert systems, Bayes<br />

decision systems, genetic algorithms, fuzzy decision systems.<br />

4. Learning outcomes<br />

The main goal of the lecture is the introduction to the methods and algorithms of artificial intelligence. In<br />

particular decision support systems in practical applications are presented<br />
