2. Course description<br />

Lecture<br />

Definition of technique and technical systems. Technique and civilization. Professional features of engineer.<br />

Mathematics, physics and chemistry role as bases of technical science. Productive process vs technological<br />

process. Structure of technological processes. Structure of design and construction process. Computer aided<br />

design (CAD). Characteristic of production in different technique branches: building, machine constructing,<br />

electrical and electronic engineering, food and chemical engineering. Production automatization and<br />

robotization. Part of computerization in productive processes realization: Computer aided manufacturing (CAM),<br />

Computer integrated manufacturing (CIM). Exploitation and usage, diagnosis, reliability and monitoring of<br />

technical systems. New technique and technology transfer into industry. Technique and technology part in<br />

economic progress. Technique and natural environment. Recycling.<br />

The main goal of lecture is transferring of basic knowledge concerning technique and technology and the part<br />

they take in civilization and social-economical progress.<br />
