History of English Literature<br />

2. Course contents<br />

Lecture and classes:<br />

The panorama of the canon of English literature including poetry, drama and prose from its medieval beginning<br />

till the present t<strong>im</strong>e, with the analysis and interpretation of selected literary works.<br />

3. Prerequisites<br />

Knowledge of the English language (at the level B1-B2) and the history of Great Britain.<br />

4. Learning outcomes<br />

A student demonstrates knowledge and understanding of prominent works of English literature, is able to<br />

analyse them using adequate metalanguage and understands the phenomena forming the continuity and changes<br />

of English literature.<br />
