The Witelon University of Applied Sciences in Legnica - Field: Management and production engineering, second-degree studies ECTS credits 8 1. Course title Computer-aided organization of production I 2. Course contents Lecture 1. Character of production organization. 2. Character of production systems. 3. Character of productive processes within “narrow bounds”. 4. Component elements of basic productive process. 5. Classification of product processes. 6. Production characters and forms. 7. Components of production program. 8. Character of ERP systems. Laboratory The students work in integrated environment of ERP computer system, where is generated virtual production plant with make allowance for production and organization structures and also elements of environment. In base of production orders the demand substance plan and production timetable are generated, and also production resources are planned. 3. Prerequisites General knowledge of economy and mathematics. 4. Learning outcomes Students are able to characterize production organization, define main conditions of component elements in basic product systems, classify the forms of production also analyze production programs and recognize ERP systems. 5. Course title Computer-aided organization of production II 2. Course contents Lecture 1. The role of inventories in companies (definition and classification of inventories, the impact of inventory volume on the manufacturing process, inventory costs, systems and computer applications for inventory management) 2.Principles of planning and scheduling (inventory planning in companies, production planning and scheduling, MRP algorithm, JIT system, ERP - integrated management systems) 3. Methods of production control (pull, push and twist control systems) 4. Lean Management (LM methods and techniques, lean manufacturing) 5.Virtual Enterprises (logistics chains, enterprise networks, development trends in ERP systems, the future of companies) Seminar Students independently develop and present selected methods of production organization and management, discuss the role and possibilities of using IT systems in management. Students discuss development trends in contemporary enterprises. 3. Prerequisites Computer-aided organization of production I 4. Learning outcomes After completing the course, the students will be able to define and analyse problems of control and organization in any (continuous or discrete) production system. In addition, they will be able to indicate and put into practice some method of production organization, which in turn will allow reorganizing and streamlining the production process. 5.
