Water and renewable energy<br />

2. Course contents<br />

Lecture<br />

World quantities of water and hydroenergetics. Energetic potential of water. Methods of using. Types of water power<br />

stations. Law, economic and ecologic problems. Other kinds of water energy: energy of sea waves, sea flow and sea current.<br />

Energy of wind and its using. Characteristic of wind energy. Wind turbines: base construction and regulations. Review of<br />

construction of small wind farms. Law economic and ecologic problems.<br />

Classes<br />

Methods of using of water potential energy. Kinds of water electrocities and their possibilities to energetics. Dissension<br />

about other kinds of water energy. Wind energy and its to renewable energetics. Kinds and base of <strong>im</strong>portune construction<br />

of wind turbines. Economics of small wind farms.<br />

3. Prerequisites<br />

Base of energy transformation.<br />

4. Learning outcomes<br />

Students are familiar with the basic concepts of construction and technology of wind and water energy sources. They are<br />

familiar with the basic information and possibilities how to use in practice wind and water renewable energy.<br />
