Course name Industrial product design – intermediate engineering- managers work 2. Course contents Presentation of the product design principles, including types, characteristics, life cycle and packaging products. Basic elements of the design process is established, the requirements, design, plan production and technology of production and economic and managerial issues. 3. Prerequisites Designing and manufacturing of products, cost accounting, marketing. 4. Learning outcomes Students are able to characterize the essential elements of process design and product design. They are able to develop a preliminary assumptions and general technological requirements, choose the best solution and develop correct production technology and production plan as well as to develop conditions for the implementation and delivery. Estimate the cost of production, offer a means to promote, identify the volume in relation to the organization of production and prepare the technical implementation and delivery. 5. Course contents Lectures: The essence and kinds of projects (undertakings) and their features. Functional problems of project management. Institutional problems of project management. Personnel problems of project management. Selected methods of project management. The essence of innovation and factors shaping innovativeness. Organisation and structure of the process of innovation management. Methods and techniques of creative thinking used in innovation management. Technical and economic evaluation of innovative projects. Project: Case exercises based on the subject curriculum. 3. Prerequisites Passing the “Decision support systems and knowledge management” course. 4. Learning outcomes: Having acquired the project and innovation management knowledge and other areas of studies the students are able to: • identify the essence and kinds of projects (undertakings) and their features, • organise the process of preparation and implementation of projects, • prepare organisational structures for the implementation of projects and organise a project team, • plan the process of project implementation (project cost estimate) and estimate the implementation risk, • compare project management information systems, • identify the essence of innovation and factors shaping innovativeness, • present selected methods and techniques of creative thinking used in innovation management, • make a technical and economic evaluation of innovative projects, depending on market conditions and the type of organization. 5. 4. Learning outcomes<br />
Students are able to characterize the essential elements of process design and product design. They are able to develop a<br />
prel<strong>im</strong>inary assumptions and general technological requirements, choose the best solution and develop correct production<br />
technology and production plan as well as to develop conditions for the <strong>im</strong>plementation and delivery. Est<strong>im</strong>ate the cost of<br />
