Course title Semester project Design of a hydraulic installation in the water heat distribution system. 2. Course contents Project: Components of the water heat distribution systems – heat sources, heat-carrying agents, thermal centre, heat transfer and distribution networks. Principles of heat distribution networks selection and design – determination of quantity of the heat required, selection of structural components – pipes, pumps and devices for network operation control. Operation of heat distribution systems. Adjustment of parameters required for optimum heat distribution network operation. Investment and operational costs analysis of designed system and assessment of possibilities for their minimization. 3. Prerequisites Basic knowledge about energy auditing 4. Learning outcomes Skills in formulating main problems concerning construction and exploitation of the water heat distribution system.
