1. The role and possibilities of forecasting in an enterprise.<br />

2. Macroeconomic conditions of energy input into production processes. Subjects of energy consumption.<br />

3. Some problems of energy consumption determination in industry.<br />

4. Measurability of economic categories the idea of quantitative variable.<br />

5. Criteria of energy management in industrial plants.<br />

6. Identification of energy input into industry.<br />

7. Prognostic data and their analysis. Data base. Energetic audit.<br />

8. Classification and characteristics of forecasting methods.<br />

9. Methods of analysing the distribution of random variables.<br />

10. Methods of analysing spatial diversity of energy demand. Econometric modelling. Taxonomic methods.<br />

11. Computer systems aided energy management and forecasting in enterprise.<br />

12. Description of computer programs.<br />

13. Investigations with using computer program ENERGIA.<br />

14. Characteristics of s<strong>im</strong>ulation methods and tools.<br />

15. Examples of s<strong>im</strong>ulation and forecast in enterprises.<br />

Classes<br />

During the classes, students will learn in practice about methods of forecasting discussed during lectures.<br />

3. Prerequisites<br />

Fundamental knowledge of economy and mathematics<br />

4. Learning outcomes<br />

Students are able to define <strong>im</strong>portant problems in product processes, characterize and also compare analysis and forecast<br />

methods in enterprise, describe of computer programs aided forecasting, treat statistic data base, execute investigations with<br />

chosen computer program and interpret results.<br />
