The Witelon University of Applied Sciences in Legnica - Field: Management and production engineering, second-degree studies All graduates are able to work in: 1. Small, medium and large production enterprises of machine industry. 2. State administration units (such as military, police) and local government administration, requiring technical, economical and managerial skills. 3. Research and development units: research institutes, research and development centers, universities, technology parks, business incubators and technology transfer centers. 4. Secondary education (in compliance with applicable requirements contained in the standards of teacher education) and facilities (centers) of vocational training. 5. Institutions and organizations dealing with guidance and knowledge dissemination, particularly in the area of production engineering and operation of machines and devices. This applies particularly to units involved in acquiring funds and conduction of projects financed by the European Union. Specialization: Renewable resources energetics The graduate of this specialization can identify and analyze opportunities for energy, economic and ecological values of different renewable energy sources, especially local or regional. He/she has the skills to organize a project from this range, to acquire necessary funds, to arrange formalities: legal, environmental, etc. and to prepare a business plan. The essential technical, economical and managerial preparation of the graduate of this specialization is a good condition to the requirements of the European Union, regarding a significant increase in the proportion of energy from renewable sources in the energy balance of our country in the next few year. Specialization: Information Technologies in Production Engineering The graduate of this specialization is educated in accordance with current expectations of industry and the wide-ranging services. In the course of study, students gain practical skills for using the computer systems used in production engineering and management. They gain knowledge in the area of production engineering, information technology, economic sciences and management sciences. They are prepared to organize and conduct research and development, including the design and implementation of information and technological innovations. The graduate can associate technical problems to the economical problems, and solve these problems using advanced IT tools. The graduates are prepared to work in: small, medium and large enterprises on medium and higher ranking management; in the economic and administrative units, which require technical, economical and IT knowledge and organizational skills; in design and consultancy organizations working in the selected area of production engineering and information technology; in the management of his/her own production or service company. The Witelon University of Applied Sciences in Legnica - Field: Management and production engineering, second-degree studies Specialization: Safety The graduate of this specialization possesses a comprehensive preparation in the field of safety engineering and a thorough knowledge in the area of production engineering and management. He/she has skills of: organizing work, including organizing and carrying out activities to prevent and limit accidents, failures and occupational diseases; designing and monitoring of safety conditions; making safety and risk analysis; monitoring observance of safety regulations and rules; monitoring of working conditions and safety standards; researching into the circumstances of accidents and failures; conducting trainings and performing organizing functions in the area of safety management and keeping the documentation related to the safety. The graduate is prepared to design and implement operations and technological processes with the consideration of peoples safety and with the consideration of risk and the anticipation of the effects of the decisions - especially in emergency situations; to make decisions taking into account technical, legal, administrative and logistical determinants – under conditions of threat and stress.
