1. Course title<br />

Diploma seminar - Semester VII<br />

2. Course contents<br />

1. Reporting on a holiday apprenticeship or internship in a production or service company from a point of view of<br />

realization of a topic of the engineering job – short presentation.<br />

2. Report on the realization of the topic of the thesis: presenting results (of calculations, examinations, analyses).<br />

Discussion of results. Analysis of fundamental technologies appearing while realizing the topic.<br />

3. Structure (description of contents) of thesis and short discussion of the content of the chapter<br />

4. Discussion on the most <strong>im</strong>portant chapters of the work: the purpose and the scope, received results, the<br />

summary and conclusions<br />

5. Presentation of papers by future graduates, while finishing editing the B.A. thesis<br />

6. The summing up lecture dealing with technical, economic and managerial subject matter recapitulating before<br />

the final examination<br />

3. Prerequisites<br />

Finished 6 first semesters of studies.<br />

4. Learning outcomes<br />

Learning how to evaluate critically their own researches or analyses, as well as how to compare them with source<br />

materials. Equipping students with the ability to correct and edit their diploma paper. Learning how to present correctly<br />

(according to the current principles) one's reflections and results in the written or mult<strong>im</strong>edia form. Encouraging<br />

students to use the acquired abilities in further professional practice and their development by reading professional<br />

publications in their field. Practicing abilities (CV, an interview) essential to apply for a job.<br />
