Basics of Civil Law
2. Course contents
1. General parts of civil law: The subject matter and sources, civil and legal relationship, subjective
right; individuals and legal entities, civil and legal events, expiration
2. Property law: ownership, perpetual usufruct, limited property right, possession and its protection
3. Obligations – general part: concept, allowance, multitude of subjects, contacts, unjustified
enrichment, prohibited actions, execution of contract and effects of failure to execute contracts.
4. Obligations – detailed part: basic types of contracts
5. Inheritance law – general information
6. Family law – general information
7. Intellectual Property Law – general information
3. Prerequisites: Introduction to jurisprudence
4. Learning outcomes: Student knows basic institutions of civil law and can practically use acquired
knowledge in civil and legal relations
