Lecture<br />

Introduction. Heat transfer in building. Review of Thermodynamic processes in building. Psychrometrics, Comfort and<br />

Health. Fluid Mechanics in Building Systems. Solar Radiation and Windows. Heating and cooling loads. Annual<br />

Energy consumptions. Thermal energy (heat) generation. Cooling equippment. Heating and Cooling systems . Lighting.<br />

Control of the heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems. Building Modernization for efficiency of using energy.<br />

Evaluation of economical effect of building modernization.<br />

Project<br />

Calculation of max<strong>im</strong>al thermal energy (heat) flux supply a building; calculation of annual energy consumption; project<br />

building modernization for efficiency of using energy; preparing technical and economical docu-mentation of<br />

modernization. .<br />

4. Learning outcomes<br />

Student has knowledge in field of thermal comfort; forms and mechanism of energy transfer from and to building;<br />

thermodynamics processes and flow of fluids in building; method of calculations max<strong>im</strong>al thermal energy (heat) flux<br />

supplying a building and calculations of annual energy consumption; total efficiency of using energy in building.<br />
