1. Course title:<br />

Production processes and techniques II<br />

2. Course contents:<br />

Lecture:<br />

During the lectures the students will be presented a basic knowledge of processes and techniques of production,<br />

individual operations and processes in technologic processes, students should gain the skill of production process<br />

selection and skill of preparing a documentation to production flow. Lecture contents: Opt<strong>im</strong>ization of production<br />

processes’ flow. Designing of production systems – serial and unique production, groups technology, flexible<br />

production systems. Files and control of production flow. Documentation of production flow. Examples of chosen<br />

production processes in different techniques fields.<br />

Laboratory:<br />

During the exercises the students will practice various methods of production organization and control through building<br />

s<strong>im</strong>ulation models of production system. The contents of the laboratory: Introduction to modelling, s<strong>im</strong>ulation and<br />

opt<strong>im</strong>ization of production system. Production process common model building, its s<strong>im</strong>ulation and opt<strong>im</strong>isation -<br />

iGrafx Process for Six Sigma modeling and s<strong>im</strong>ulation software. Production process model building (single-handed)<br />

and its opt<strong>im</strong>ization. Implementation of various production organization methods to the computer models and their<br />

comparative analysis.<br />

None.<br />

4. Learning outcomes:<br />

Student is familiar with methods, techniques and types of production planning in a production company. Student has the<br />

skills from the area of planning, organization and control of production processes.<br />
