Thematic scope of the course:<br />

- hosting German delegation: dialogues at the train station, in a taxi, at the hotel<br />

-information exchange by fax, eg Appointing the date of a meeting<br />

- discussing a public survey<br />

- introducing oneself / introducing a guest to other people<br />

- writing a business card, giving a business card to other people<br />

- making appointment for a business meeting<br />

- showing the way, providing a guided tour in the company<br />

- national holiday, church holiday and other bank holiday in Germany and Poland<br />

- introducing the company: the history, activity, legal form, business sector<br />

- request for connecting with a selected department in a company/connecting the client with an appropriate<br />

office<br />

-personal employment history, education<br />

- Job interview<br />

- Job advertisement<br />

- writing a CV and cover letter<br />

4. Learning outcomes<br />

The student acquires language abilities at one of the levels (A1-B2; depends on the language competence exam results).<br />

The student can describe selected professional situations, compare and discuss survey results, analyze tables, charts,<br />

statistics, provide main information presented in the professional texts. The student can present individual opinion and<br />

argument it. He acquires language skills needed in the cooperation with foreign business partners in the field of<br />

General English as well as acquires sufficient knowledge to pass TELC language examination (at appropriate level).<br />
