Marketing in trade and services<br />

2. Course description:<br />

Marketing and the service. Company as the subject of the service market. Organization and distribution channels<br />

management. Institution structure of the wholesale and retail trade. Process of the marketing strategy creation in trade<br />

and service companies. Merchandising (trade marketing) as the modern management way of the trade company.<br />

Changes and development trends in trade in Poland. Marketing in non-profit service business.<br />

3. Prerequisites:<br />

Passing the “Bases of Marketing” course.<br />

4. A<strong>im</strong> of the course:<br />

The a<strong>im</strong> of the „Marketing in trade and services” lectures is to accustom the students with the key marketing problems<br />

in trade and service companies. Trade and service belong to this branch of economy which currently are changing the<br />

most intensively. During the lectures, the students should learn how to create the trade and service companies strategies<br />

on their own for the companies working in the very changeable environment as well as they should learn the use of the<br />

marketing tools.<br />
