Lecture and classes<br />

Contemporary computer networks, Internet and World Wide Web. Information and management, information as a<br />

resource, factor of development - <strong>im</strong>portant role of information. Evolution of management information systems, cycle<br />

of information systems’ life. Classifications and taxonomy of information systems for enterprise management.<br />

Transaction processing systems and information-decision systems. Integrated management information systems.<br />

Review and comparative analysis of MRP and ERP classes systems. Selected directions of new achievements in<br />

information technologies. Opt<strong>im</strong>ization methods in management and its computer <strong>im</strong>plementations: production<br />

opt<strong>im</strong>ization, transport opt<strong>im</strong>ization and opt<strong>im</strong>ization of stock management.<br />

4. Learning outcomes<br />

Students obtain knowledge about basic problems related with informatics and information technologies applications to<br />

support of enterprise management. Understand basic quantitative methods and techniques used for e-business systems.<br />

They can use exemplary program packages for information processing.<br />
