He is reliable in his tradition. He narrated traditions on the authority of Abi ‘Abd Allah (al‐Sadiq) and Abi al‐Hasan (Musa). In the authentic (tradition) of Jameel b. Darrajj is that the pegs of the earth and the great figures of the religion are four (persons): Muhammed b. Muslim, Burayd b. Mu’awiya,..., and Layth b. al‐Bukhtary al‐Muradi; other than that has been said concerning him. Ibn al‐Ghada’iri has said: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (al‐Sadiq), peace be on him, was bored with him. His companions have differed over him. As for me, I think that he has been criticized for his creed, not for his hadith.
