84. Hafs Bin Sulayman<br />

Shaykh al‐Tusi has, without nickname nor kunya, numbered him as one of the <strong>com</strong>panions of the<br />

Imam (Musa). Apparently, he is an unknown Imami (Shi’ite).[9]<br />

85. Hafs Bin Sawaqa al‐‘Umari<br />

He was the retainer of ‘Amru b. Hurayth al‐Makhzumi. He reported traditions on the authority of<br />

Abi ‘Abd Allah (al‐Sadiq) and Abi al‐Hasan (Musa), peace be on them. He is trustworthy; and he<br />

has a source.[1]<br />

86. Hafs Bin Gayyath al‐Nakha’i al‐Kufi<br />

Harun (al‐Rashid) appointed him as a judge in the Eastern Baghdad, and then he assumed the<br />

judgeship in Kufa. He reported traditions on the authority of Abi ‘Abd Allah (al‐Sadiq) and Abi al‐<br />

Hasan (Musa). He has a book. He died in Kufa in the year 194 A. H.[21] The traditionists have<br />

differed over certifying and criticizing him.[3]<br />

87. Al‐Hakam Bin Ayun al‐Hannat<br />

He was the retainer of Quraysh. He reported traditions on the authority of Abi ‘Abd Allah (al‐<br />

Sadiq) and Abi al‐Hasan (Musa). He has a book.[4]<br />

88. Hammad Bin ‘Uthman Bin ‘Amru Bin Khalid al‐Fazari, al‐Kufi<br />

He lived in ‘Arzam and he has been attributed to it. He is trustworthy. He reported traditions on<br />

the authority of Abi ‘Abd Allah (al‐Sadiq), (Musa) al‐Kazim, and al‐Rida. He died in Kufa in the year<br />

190 A. H.[5]<br />
