mitCham: The U19's down by almost a ton but
showed a bit in their first hit out against good opposition.
Tsolos Stojanovic and Ingrisciano in the best. Ressies
fortunate to hold out fast finishing Ringwood with the
wind, but hung on to win by seven points. Kelly three,
Russell Murphy and Rozycki two each. Greco Kelly
and Ruddy in the best. Seniors won by 36 points with
the skipper taking the Pimm BOG medal. Four goals to
the duke and two for Lucas, with Quilty, Law and the
Chief in the best. Special thanks to those who attended
the luncheon, hope you all enjoyed yourselves. Alex
Oakey played his 100th for the Tigers last week versus
Ringwood, Well done Slinky. The chief's turn to bring
up 100 for the tigers this week against the horses. Well
done also Ben. For the record, played Whitehorse eight
times. Won two, lost five and drawn one.
north ringwooD: It was fantastic to finally
kick the season off last Saturday with the sun shining
and the smell of the famous Quambee Burger drifting
through the crowd. With Whitehorse, unfortunately
unable to field a Colt’s team, we took on Templestowe,
who gave us a fair game of footy and although our
guys led all day, there was some impressive play by
both sides. The boys continued with last year’s form
and came away 10-point winners. The Reserves and
Seniors both had a good day out coming away 16 and
17-goal victors respectively. New recruit Max Melzer
impressed us with his style across the back line, as did
watching Barrel boot a lazy seven on his return to the
club. Congratulations to Grant Aitken on playing 100
games for the club last Saturday. A different test today
however as we tackle Boronia at Tormore Reserve.
Never easy at Boronia, we need to stand and play with
the determination of warriors to ensure there is no
doubt as to who the side to fear is in 2012. Let’s stamp
our mark today and walk away with another 3 wins
as we start our climb to certain victory at the season’s
end. Past Players and Officials Reunion day, May 5 at
Quambee, $30, finger food and drinks inclusive. See

ringwooD: Last week we travelled to Mitcham
for the season opening round and the 19's got the day
off to a good start with an impressive 96-point victory.
In an even team performance the boys displayed good
form for the majority of the game and shared the goals
around with 11 different players scoring majors. They
again take on Mitcham, this time on our home turf.
The Reserves were involved in a tight and hard fought
44
contest which saw the lead change several times during
the game. We had chances to win it in the last quarter
but were unable to capitalize when it mattered. Despite
fighting hard in the last quarter, the seniors were unable
to bridge the gap and suffered a disappointing loss. It
was not the way we wanted to start the season and the
boys are keen to square the ledger this weekend and
get on the winning list. Memberships to the Redback
Club are still available so if you haven’t purchased your
ticket/membership please do so ASAP by seeing Don
Burns. Our Sportsman’s night is being held this Tuesday
Night (April 24) in the social rooms from 7.00pm and
it promises to be a great night. Limited tickets are still
available so get in quick to ensure your attendance.

journey to Jubilee Park for the first time since the early
70's to play for the Parker Family Cup in recognition
of the great contributions to both clubs by members of
the Parker family. We welcome all Heathmont players,
officials & supporters to Ringwood and hope they
enjoy our hospitality. Good luck to all sides today and
let’s celebrate three victories later on tonight.
tempLestowe: Last week we headed to
Heathmont with our Seniors and Reserves sides. Coach
Price took his U19 charges to Nth Ringwood where
the boys finished behind their opponents by 10 points.
There were many encouraging signs and the guys
finished the game right out until the end. Hopefully
this week we can get over the line. In the Ressies, it
was a very tight first half but the third quarter set up
the game with nine goals to three (ask Mick Fitz about
his great tactics here). Cullum kicked three goals in
a best on ground display. Other better players were
Hyne, Keeghan Jones and Francis. Our senior side
started the game and held our opponents who had first
use of the wind. Unfortunately our inaccuracy at the
start of the third quarter cost us dearly as we climbed
from 4.6 to 4.17 during the match. Three late goals
in the final quarter resulted in a 38-point defeat. This
week we need to lift in front of our home crowd and
square up the win-loss ledger. Today we welcome
Wantirna Sth to Porter St. The players boat cruise is
on tonight and the first Club 250 lunch is on June 23rd
– book with Greg Tremewen. Don’t forget if you sign
someone for the Club 250 (who was not a member
last year) you will receive $50 of credit at the bar.

wantirna south: Game day commenced with
both teams in the U19’s coming out full of first game
enthusiasm and spirit which set the pattern for the day.
At half time our Unders were leading by 40 points and
ran away with the game in the second half to score a
