our on-field and off-field success continues. We have
four new committee members in Michael Dunne, Kelly
Horton, Mark Cleeve and Paul Kennedy. Michael,
Kelly and Mark all have sons playing at the club. We
do always welcome additional offers of assistance for
the club, whether it be as a ground set-up assistant on
match days, assisting with club functions, sourcing a
club sponsor or a Ground Official. If you are able to
spare a few hours a week please do not hesitate to
email us or contact a committee member. Our departing
committee members in Allan Clarke, Janine Skehan,
Graeme Marchant and Jeff Dalton will be missed. An
upcoming function is on Sunday 27 May WHERE we
will be going to the races at Cranbourne Racing Club –
please ask a committee person for a flyer. Sponsorship

norwooD: The Committee welcomes everyone to
season 2012. We have had a very busy summer preparing
for the coming season and look forward to a successful
year both on and off the field. Pre-season events included
a player family BBQ which gave the families of current
and new players an opportunity to meet everyone
involved with the club including the committee and
coaching panels for all three sides. The season launch
and jumper presentation was held on Friday 30 March.
This was a very well attended event where the coaching
panel outlined their plans for this season and the
leadership groups for all three sides were announced.
We were all saddened with the passing of life member
Glenn Huber during the pre-season after a long battle
with illness. Glenn was a stalwart of the club over more
than 20 years and will be sorely missed. We are always
looking for volunteers to help out on game days with the
various jobs that are vital to keeping the football club
ticking. If you are willing to help out please see one of
the committee. Upcoming social events include: Ladies
Day Saturday 12th May, Past Players and Officials Day
12th May and Players Function on the 19th May – details

sCoresBY: Scoresby Football Club welcomes
everyone to season 2012, particularly the club’s new
players, officials, sponsors and supporters to the
Scoresby Family. Their arrival continues to prove
that Scoresby Football Club is the club ‘where people
want to be’! Today with Scott Whyte at the helm in
the senior coaching role, we start our journey to go one
better than last year. Darren Perry begins his journey
as coach of the Reserves plus we are very pleased that
Sean Kavanagh is again heading up our Under 19’s
program with the hope of back to back Premierships.
The pressure to succeed is certainly on! Our on field
plans are backed by a continuing stream of successful
off field functions, such as the recent MCG Season
Launch Dinner again strongly supported by the Club’s
Number 1 Ticket Holder, Kim Wells. With Lamver
Engineering renewing their Sponsorship alongside
Tough Tyres, Peter Munt from Ray White FTG and
also returning sponsor Falken Tyres, the club is well

on its way to success in season 2012. You too can be
a part of the team and show you’re a true supporter of
the Club by becoming a member; getting your business
involved by taking advantage of the Club’s sponsorship
opportunities; or purchasing any of our exciting range
of merchandise. Look out for the FIGHTING MAGPIE
membership package and its fantastic inclusions. See
any of the Club’s Committee members for further
information on what you can do to become part of the
‘Black and White’ army. On the social front, we have
the Player’s Auction on the 28th April following the
Blackburn game at Home, so have a look at today’s
talent on show and snap them up to win big!. Don’t

top of your Favourites list.
south CroYDon: We welcome all players, their
families, members, supporters and sponsors back to the
Kennel. After a challenging 2011 playing home games
away from Cheong Park, we are looking forward to a
great year back home on a fantastic playing surface.
Ben and his team have worked the boys hard all preseason,
with everyone now looking forward to the
season proper. We have a number of new faces in
the playing ranks as well as a few old ones who have
returned to the club. The boys will be going out and
giving their all each week, so we are looking for
a huge effort from all supporters to get behind them
and the club. The best way to support your club is by
taking out a membership. Please see Steve Bishop or
any of the committee for membership option details,
including our premier supporter offering ‘The Kennel
Club’. These details and all dates for the year’s social

Vermont: Optimism is the feeling most clubs have
at this time of year as we set off on the 2012 journey.
We welcome back one of our best ever players in Kris
Barlow, this time as Senior Coach and another as his
assistant in Andrew Smith. We also have many new
faces wearing the purple & gold for the first time. To all
those who represent us today, we wish you the very best
of luck and may you make us proud. We very much thank
our many wonderful sponsors, headed by our Principal
Sponsor in Craig Wright and Lazaway Pools & Spas,
along with Boags, CSR Monier and Patterson Cheney
Holden. We especially make mention of some new ones
in Cracka Wines, the Rycon Building Group, Smith’s
Floorworld Ringwood , PharmaSave Chemist Brentford
Square. Social: Our Pre Season Raffle is up and going
and will now be drawn on Thursday 3rd May. We urge
you to grab a ticket and have the chance of winning
fabulous Coffee Machine generously donated by Tony
& Janet Weiss of Elite Appliances. Our Player Auction
will be held on the evening of the Round 4 game against
Soutth Croydon. The new Purple polos are available
today – Be proud and purple. Our Anzac Medals will
be awarded today for each of our competing teams and
presented with the awards at 6.15pm. Supporters please
stay on after the game for the awards in the new early
