SOPORE INCIDENT - 6.3.93, the forces while cordon<strong>in</strong>g <strong>of</strong>f the ma<strong>in</strong> market<br />
dur<strong>in</strong>g morn<strong>in</strong>g hours and nearby areas <strong>of</strong> the Sopore areas, fired <strong>in</strong>discrim<strong>in</strong>ately<br />
and <strong>in</strong> this process they fired at a boat (sikara) <strong>in</strong> which some people were try<strong>in</strong>g to<br />
cross the river and seven persons <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g women were killed due to the fir<strong>in</strong>g on<br />
the spot and some drowned. Some <strong>of</strong> the names are, Mohd. Ramzan Najar S/O Gh.<br />
Qadir, Mst. Fatima W/O Mohd. Ramzan Najar R/O Betengo, Sopore, Gh. Ahmad<br />
Dar S/O Sonaullah Gasi R/O Mohalla Tilyan, Riyaz Ahmad Sheikh S/O Gh. Nabi<br />
R/O Shah-A-Bad, Sopore, Mir Abdul Hamid Shah (student <strong>of</strong> MSC <strong>in</strong> <strong>Kashmir</strong><br />
University) S/O jalal-Ud-D<strong>in</strong> R/O Khunabal, Sonawari and Master Ali Mohammad<br />
Wani R/O Botengo, Sopore.<br />
SHOPIAN INCIDENT - 7.3.93, the forces had cordoned <strong>of</strong>f a large area under the<br />
pretext <strong>of</strong> search operations and dur<strong>in</strong>g crackdown operations forces took one<br />
person <strong>in</strong>to custody and started beat<strong>in</strong>g him <strong>in</strong> presence <strong>of</strong> the locals and his<br />
relatives. On this Nazir Ahmmad R/O Shpoian brother <strong>of</strong> the person who was<br />
beaten, protested and the forces fired at him from close range <strong>in</strong> presence <strong>of</strong> the<br />
locals and killed him on the spot.<br />
ACHABAL, RAFIABAD, SOPORE INCIDENT - 8.3.93, the forces fired at an<br />
unarmed procession <strong>of</strong> people, who were protest<strong>in</strong>g aga<strong>in</strong>st the atrocities<br />
committed on the people and for illegal arrests and kill<strong>in</strong>gs. Due to the<br />
<strong>in</strong>discrim<strong>in</strong>ate fir<strong>in</strong>g by the forces two persons <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g one lady were killed. The<br />
names <strong>of</strong> the killed are, Mst. Taja R/O Rafibad, Sopore and Ahmad. Bhat aged<br />
more than 80 years R/O Achbal, Sopore was also killed.<br />
CRUHAN, NOWPORA, BARAMULLA INCIDENT - 13.3.93, the forces killed<br />
two persons namely Ab. Rashid Lone alias Rehmatullah S/O Gh. Nabi R/O<br />
Kruhan, Nowpora and Moulana Giyas-Ud-D<strong>in</strong> alias Ab. Latief.<br />
