BUNAGA, KULGAM INCIDENT - 8.12.93 the forces killed four unarmed<br />

<strong>in</strong>nocent civilians after the forces were attacked by some persons.<br />

DANGERPORA, SOPORE INCIDENT - 10.12.93 the forces dur<strong>in</strong>g search<br />

operations killed three persons.<br />

KHUMRIYAL, KUPWARA INCIDENT - 10.12.93 forces killed four persons<br />

dur<strong>in</strong>g search operations.<br />

KUPWARA INCIDENT - 10.12.93 as per the electronic media 16 persons who<br />

were try<strong>in</strong>g to cross to other side for obta<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g <strong>of</strong> arms an ammunition<br />

were killed <strong>in</strong> an alleged encounter. The people have every reasonable belief that<br />

the persons who disappear after they are arrested by the forces from different place<br />

<strong>of</strong> the state are taken to border areas and killed <strong>in</strong> false encounters. The authorities<br />

even do not hand over the dead bodies <strong>of</strong> the killed to their relations for perform<strong>in</strong>g<br />

last funeral riots. Even the names <strong>of</strong> the persons killed <strong>in</strong> such false encounters are<br />

not disclosed. The people believe that <strong>in</strong> this encounter also the persons killed were<br />

unarmed and did not attack the forces. The forces should have arrested them<br />

<strong>in</strong>stead <strong>of</strong> kill<strong>in</strong>g them but it appears that the government has issued directions to<br />

the forces to kill even the unarmed persons <strong>in</strong> order to curb the present on-go<strong>in</strong>g<br />

movement for freedom from <strong>Indian</strong> clutches.<br />

BADERWAH INCIDENT - 11.12.93, forces killed 4 persons which <strong>in</strong>clude<br />

Sami-Ullah, Peer Mohd Shafi, Ali Mohd Rather and one more person whose<br />

identity could not be ascerta<strong>in</strong>ed.<br />

ISLAMABAD INCIDENT - 12.12.93, the forces were attacked by some persons<br />

and the forces after some time came out <strong>of</strong> the barracks and killed three unarmed<br />

civilians namely, Ab. Gani Thukur, Shawqat Hussa<strong>in</strong> and Mohd Shafi residents <strong>of</strong><br />

Islamabad district.<br />

GHAT GAHUR DODA, KISTIWAR INCIDENT - 12.12.93 as per the electronic<br />

media, the forces killed 6 persons, namely, Irshed, Shoib, Imtiyaz, Sultan, Jan<br />

Mohd and Raqim D<strong>in</strong>, <strong>in</strong> an alleged encounter dur<strong>in</strong>g search operation <strong>in</strong> Kistiwar<br />

areas.<br />

BORDER INCIDENT- 13.12.93 as per the electronic media forces killed two<br />

persons who were try<strong>in</strong>g to cross this side. The dead bodies <strong>of</strong> these persons were<br />

not handed over to their relations not their names were made public deliberately<br />

because the government is kill<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>nocent and unarmed people especially <strong>in</strong><br />

border areas. The Government does not conduct the post-mortem through<br />

<strong>in</strong>dependent sources with a view to avoid any crim<strong>in</strong>al charge.<br />

DODA INCIDENT - 15.12.93 the forces killed two persons, namely, Bashir<br />

Banihali and one more person dur<strong>in</strong>g search operations.<br />

KANDI, KELLER, PULWAMA INCIDENT - 16.12.93, the forces after cordon<strong>in</strong>g<br />
